How does contact card QR work?
A vCard QR code stores standard contact fields, so people can scan a business card or badge and save contact details instead of typing them. This generator uses vCard 3.0, a broadly understood text format. Not all camera apps support every vCard field.
How to make your QR code
- Enter a full name and any optional organization, phone, email or website fields.
- Personalize the QR code with high-contrast colors; optional logos need careful testing.
- Download the image, scan it, and confirm that the saved contact fields look correct.
Brand your QR code with a logo
Upload your own company logo and choose a circular badge inside the QR, a larger logo beside the code, or both. Choose the center badge shape (white circle or rounded square) and spacing. The QR squares behind the logo are left empty. High error correction helps, but scan-test before printing.
Tips for reliable scanning
- Use the same contact information that appears on your printed card.
- Keep the vCard short so the QR code remains easy to scan.
- Always test with at least one Android and one iOS device if possible.
